The perfect tour for those who want to explore the Sadovan plains in a dynamic way. If you're dreaming of days of outdoor getaways with a dash of relaxation and spiritual rejuvenation, the 6 experiences suggested here are just what you're looking for.
Day 1 - Visit the oldest elm trees and take a walk through the forest on Morii Creek
When it comes to the elms of Sadova, age is no longer just a number. Dark and weathered through countless times, elms have watched and watched generations of Sadovans for more than 500 years. After meeting the "ancestors" of the village, a walk through the forest in the Mill Stream area is just the thing to clear your head.
Day 2 - Visit Rarau Mountains
It is said that in the face of nature's greatness we are all small, powerless beings. A walk in the Rarau Mountains will make you realise how true this saying is. The mountains that got their name from the Moldavian lord Petru Rares have their highest point at the top of Pietrele Doamnei, reaching 1634m.
Day 3 - Kayaking (summer) / Rarau Ski Slope (winter)
If intense sports are your thing we have what you're looking for whether you choose to visit us in summer or winter. In the warm season we invite you to take a kayak trip on the Moldova River to enjoy the beauty of nature and to quench your spirit of adventure during an unforgettable getaway.
The cold season coincides with the ski season. So, in the winter, Rarău Slope is where we recommend you spend a day where winter sport is the main actor. The slopes offer 2840 km of mountain scenery and quality skiing or snowboarding.
Day 4 - Visit Sucevita Monastery
The Bucovina area is famous for the churches and monasteries built since the time of the Moldavian rulers. We recommend the Sucevita Monastery built between 1583-1586 and founded by the Movileist family. The monastery combines elements of Byzantine and Gothic art with architectural elements of the old wooden churches of Moldavia. The interior and exterior mural painting is of great artistic value, being an extensive biblical narrative from the Old and New Testament. Sucevita Monastery is one of the places where spirituality, faith and history come together.
Day 5 - Palma Zipline
Are soaring heights and dreamy landscapes your passion? If the answer is yes, we recommend a zipline trip from Palma. It is the longest and most spectacular zip line in Romania and Central Europe. With a length of 1 km, a height of 100 m and a speed that can reach 100 km/h, the Palma Zipline is the place to get your adrenaline fix.
Day 6 - Hiking on the Via Transilvanica Trail
Via Transilvanica is a project of Tășuleasa Social and is a 950 km road linking Transylvania with the Danube and Bucovina. The road crosses 10 counties and goes through the area of Sadova. We suggest an unmissable walk on one of the sections of this dream route, between km 62 and 72. You will enjoy 10 km of nature, fresh air and beautiful landscapes.
