If you're a keen hiker, you can venture out on one of Romania's most interesting trails, inviting people to take their country for a walk. Sadova is included on the Via Transilvanica route, a tourist and pilgrimage experience of over 1,000 km that crosses 10 counties - Mehedinți, Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Brașov, Harghita, Mureș, Bistrița-Năsăud and Suceava.
The aim of the project is to highlight Romania's cultural, ethnic, historical and natural wealth, with a reflection both in local communities and with an international echo. Being a public trail, it is intended for all lovers of hiking, nature and sport, who will be able to walk, cycle or ride it.
In Bucovina, the route is 137 kilometres long, starts in the courtyard of Putna Monastery and ends in the Călimani Mountains, at the border with Bistrița.
