The mountain scenery, surrounded by nature's greenery and illuminated by the pale rays of the sun, provides the mood for this great Christian holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of preparations for <a href=\"https:\/\/sadova.ro\/en\/sarbatori-in-bucovina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Easter<\/a>, they start with a return to roots and tradition. The parental home is a favourite place for Sadovans, with the family as a central element. Of course, food and customs also play an important role in preparing for the celebration of the Resurrection. The special appearance of the pascha is given by the braiding around the edges and the braided cross in the middle with which it is decorated. The main ingredients that give this dish an unmistakable taste are cottage cheese sweetened with sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Alongside the pastry, several sweets are baked, including cozonaci, pies or babe. Even if tradition only mentions red eggs, housewives usually give other colours to eggs such as green, blue or yellow. This old custom is very common and famous in the Bucovina area, including Sadova. The village is still home to women who do this craft and ensure that it is passed on to the next generations. As far as the practice of carving is concerned, there are a few simple details. Eggs are boiled while they are still warm with a brush and a pen. It is the evening when the people of Padua go to Church to celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord. This moment is very important for the people of Sadova, as all the traditions of this ritual are preserved and a communion with the divinity is created. At midnight the priest utters the well-known phrase \"Come and take the light!\". At this call, the faithful light their candles, whose flame represents in fact the enlightenment of the villagers and the space in which they live. Arriving home from church, all family members wash in a bowl of uncooked water containing a red egg, a sign of health, and a silver coin, a sign of wealth and purity. Before feasting on the chosen, lovingly cooked dishes, both young and old take from the Easter amphora. The difference, however, is made by the actors who take part in the service on the second day of Easter, namely the young people of the village.
